Elite Empire Construction Hayden Lake Home Remodel:

Some projects are so special, so amazing, they only come along once ina lifetime. Mike Botai, owner of Elite Empire Construction explained how this breath-taking home remodel project came to be.

"We started on a Hayden Idaho home with 30 acres. The owner initially just wanted a bedroom remodel but once he could see the potential, things changed. He spared no expense and the result is a project I'm proud to be part of. This project began as a simple one bedroom remodel" Mike continued,"and over time it changed and evolved into a much bigger and more grand project. Once the home owner realized what I was capable of.... once he could see the potential and what we could really create...The project grew into something amazing".

"Mike created our dream home. We could not be more pleased with the outcome."

"Once that first bedroom was complete the homeowner took me aside and he said "Mike, I want you to be really involved in this project. I want this to be the highlight of your career". Together with the home owner, Mike established a budget and project scope and moved forward room by room designing the project. In the end everything in the home was custom; even the interior doors were hand-made.

The Master Suite was next, then the guest hall bathroom. "The pictures really don't do the project justice", Mike continued. "We used waterproof lighting systems, heated floors, Italian lighted mirrors and Kohler's best fixtures. The glass mosaic tile in the shower really set this room apart and the home owner loved it".

With the guest hall bathroom complete, Mike focused on the living area upstairs. The second-floor staircase hand railing was custom fabricated using formed and curled steel. The family area has a number of really unique features including a quartz two-sided fireplace, a soap stone wall inlet next to the stairs and a statue wall. The statue wall was custom crafted using two slabs of granite with a granite notch. The soapstone and custom wood millwork was designed and made by Aagason Millworks. The decorative metal for the fireplace and stair railings were fabricated by a custom steel shop in Post Falls.

Mike worked extensively with local vendors and sourced the knotty alder from the Oregon Coast. The tile however was far more exotic. "All of the tile in the home was provided by Bedrosian Tile & Stone and many of the rooms have a custom 42" long plank tile flooring imported directly from Italy. We used the 42" tile extensively throughout the upstairs".

""The fireplace was created from eight individual slabs of quartz fitted together so precisely its difficult to see the seams between them. The decorative iron and metal work was 100% custom. The non- traditional look for both the stairs and fireplace. The result is decorative metal work unlike any other."

The kitchen and kitchen cabinetry were hand made using rusticated knotty alder. This included the ceiling, cabinets, doors and trim. Mike filled the kitchen with appliances and amenities including an in-cabinet ice maker, stacked oven/range, and an inset cook top with smart heat technology. Thermador luxury appliances were placed throughout. Mike personally supervised every appliance installed in the kitchen. "The cook top would detect the presence of a pan and dial in the exact power level and temperature for instant heating".

The kitchen posts and beams were hand-hewn from wood harvested near Wolf Lodge in Coeur d' Alene Idaho and hand made by Aagason millworks. Quartz was used for the countertops, the kitchen backsplash was made from Bedrosian tile. Toekick lights and under cabinet lights were used to softly illuminate the room. The door handles were from Emtech and the fixtures were California Kitchen faucets. Mike summed up the kitchen in just a few words: "We spared no expense".

One of the things that really separates Elite Empire from our competition is our hands-on approach. I accept a project I don't just act as a project manager, I'm actually doing the work. I'm personally involved in every phase of construction.

The Guest Bathroom which included a smaller set of features was no less breath taking. "These bathrooms might seem overwhelming and they certainly are not for everyone", Mike continued. "I like to show people these pictures to illustrate the quality of our work; if you decide to work with us you won't be disappointed".

"We could not be more pleased with the outcome. Mike is a true craftsman with a creative mind and an eye for quality and detail. We allowed him to make decisions as to the scope and design of the project. He exceeded all of our expectations. You will not go wrong with Elite Empire Construction".

Mike shows up to the job site everyday; including weekends and most holidays. He does the majority of the work himself along with an apprentice. He oversees the subcontractors and if something is not right he will spend the time to fix it. Mike chooses high quality materials and guarantees his work.
